Graduate Chemist – Advanced Manufacturing Start-Up

Join a team pushing the boundaries of material science.
Atomik AM is at the forefront of advanced manufacturing, developing next-generation binder jet technology. We are looking for a highly motivated Graduate Chemist to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new binder and ink formulations, creating innovative solutions from scratch, and optimising existing products for performance and scalability.
As part of our fast-paced formulations team, you will tackle diverse challenges that require adaptability, technical expertise, and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute formulation strategies, including material selection and process optimisation
- Formulate and optimise products to meet performance, cost, and regulatory requirements
- Design and conduct experiments to evaluate new formulations and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with engineers, material scientists, and supply chain teams to ensure successful scale-up and commercialisation of products
- Develop and implement testing protocols to ensure product performance and quality
- Stay up to date with relevant regulations and ensure product compliance with safety and environmental standards
What We’re Looking For:
- BSc in Chemistry or a related field
- Strong knowledge of inorganic chemistry and formulation principles
- Experience with formulation development, including material selection and process optimisation
- Familiarity with analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, and NMR
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- A passion for innovation and a proactive approach to challenges
