Redefining Manufacturing for the Future
Revolutionise Manufacturing
Join Us in changing the face of Production
At Atomik AM, we believe that reshaping the future of manufacturing is more than a task—it’s a responsibility. But to change the world, we must first change the way we think. As pioneers of responsible manufacturing, we reject conventional practices and embrace a bold, solutions-focused mindset.
For too long, traditional manufacturing has prioritised products over materials, leading to waste, inefficiency, and unsustainable practices. At Atomik, we flip that approach. By putting materials at the forefront of our designs, we make choices that reduce waste, lower costs, and limit social and environmental impact.

Global Annual Increase in Emissions in Manufacturing
Industrial emissions have been growing faster than the global economy, posing a major challenge in reducing global greenhouse gases. (Source: United Nations Industrial Development Organisation, 2020)
Projected Carbon Emission Increase in Industry by 2050
Without a significant shift to cleaner, more sustainable technologies, the projected increase in Manufacturing Emissions is high. (Source: International Energy Agency, 2020)
Material Waste Through AM Processes
Estimates suggest that between 20-30% of the powder used in binder jetting can end up as waste, depending on the complexity of the part being printed, the machine’s efficiency, and the post-processing steps. (Source: Journal of Manufacturing Processes, 2020)
Global Carbon Emissions Come From Manufacturing
This includes emissions from both energy-intensive processes and the supply chains of raw materials. (Source: International Energy Agency, 2020; World Steel Association)
Global Energy Usage From Manufacturing
Manufacturing is a major consumer of energy, particularly fossil fuels. With the majority coming from coal, natural gas, and oil. In energy-intensive industries like metals, chemicals, and paper, the energy consumption is extremely high. (Source: International Energy Agency, 2020)
Global GHG Emissions From Semi-Conductor Manufacturing Alone
A key part of advanced manufacturing, semiconductor fabrications, are responsible for a significant amount of green house gas emissions due to their energy-intensive processes (Source: U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, 2021).
CO2 Emissions Per Vehicle Production
The manufacturing of automobiles, especially those using traditional internal combustion engines, generates between 6-10 tons of CO2 emissions per vehicle during production. (Source: Carbon Trust, 2020)
View The Problem Holistically
We need to exceed standards, not meet them
Our work is guided by a simple belief: that every decision should be made with integrity—doing the right things, for the right reasons, in the right way.
Atomik AM’s unique model combines a solutions-focused ethos with cutting-edge chemistry and engineering, empowering manufacturers to achieve their business ambitions without compromising on social responsibility.
Success, for us, is not just profit—it’s about the positive impact we leave on society and the planet. Our approach ensures businesses remain sustainable, conscious, and impactful.
Globally Generated Waste from Manufacturing
Much of which is not recycled or repurposed. (Source: World Economic Forum, 2020)
Rise in Temperature Will Cause Upto 25% Loss In Yield
According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), a 2°C rise in global temperatures could reduce global crop yields by as much as 10-25% by 2050. Food insecurity will rise sharply as a result.
Increase in wildfires since 1980
According to the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC), the number of acres burned by wildfires has increased by nearly 50% since the 1980s due to higher temperatures and drought conditions.
Power Used By Chat GPT Vs Google
Google Search generally uses 0.3–1 kJ per search, with carbon emissions around 0.2g CO2 per searc. ChatGPT Query estimates range from 3.6 kJ to 36 kJ per query, which is significantly higher due to the large-scale computation involved. Of Harvestable Land Left
Without immediate action to restore soil health and adopt sustainable farming techniques, the fertility of global arable land could be critically depleted within a century (FAO.org).
Annual Premature Deaths Due To FPM
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), the rise in fine particulate matter (PM2.5), which penetrates deep into the lungs and bloodstream is due to global warming, wildfires, and other sources.
The Future Starts Here
We drive to inspire change
Our mission is clear: to lead the charge in materials, research, and advanced manufacturing, while fostering innovation that serves the greater good. We believe that by acting with integrity and purpose, we can inspire change—across industries, across societies, and across the world.
At Atomik AM, we see a future where responsible manufacturing is not the exception, but the norm. Where innovation thrives, and where businesses can be a force for good. Together, we can create sustainable solutions that allow us not just to survive, but to thrive—as individuals, as businesses, and as a global community.
At Atomik AM, sustainability isn’t just a goal—it’s our guiding principle. We believe that manufacturing has the power to create positive change. Through our sustainable manufacturing processes and materials-first approach, we help businesses reduce waste and minimise environmental impact, shaping a more responsible future for industries worldwide.
More Parts Saved Due to Higher Green Part Strength
Atomik’s binders can deliver functional binding agents that contribute to the green strength, and the final density of a part.
Production Time Reduction
As part of one of our customer innovation projects, we achieved an outstanding 83% reduction in production time for a client’s aluminium part, driving significant efficiency improvements and setting a new benchmark for operational excellence.
Est.Savings/ Month
We offer products that improve green strength in binder jetting which can reduce production costs by c.52.6%, with c.£2,340 monthly savings in labour and c.£400 in material costs through reduced scrap. This boosts throughput by c.200-300% and improves part quality, making the process more efficient and profitable.
Sintered Density Recorded
We achieved 93% sintered density in a AlSi10Mg aluminium binder jet printed part using a 30% particle-loaded ink, exceeding typical industry standards by up to c.3%.
Shaping the Future of Manufacturing Practices
At Atomik AM, we don’t just follow trends—we set them. As a leader in sustainable manufacturing, we challenge conventional approaches and encourage the industry to think differently. Our focus on solutions-based manufacturing, backed by patented technologies, is designed to create a positive impact that reaches beyond individual products and companies. We believe that true innovation stems from responsibility—to the environment, to society, and to future generations.
As thought leaders in the manufacturing space, Atomik AM plays an active role in driving conversations around sustainability.
